I seen something like this before in TIME. Joel Stein, if that's his name, wrote an article on something similar about the Jewish "control" of Hollywood. He went to prove that Jews don't control Hollywood but he found the heads of all the major studios were in fact Jewish as were the heads of many others. It was written tongue in cheek though as is the above article (I hope).

What shocked me was not the claim made in the article, but the racism in it.

Imagine if you replaced the word Jews with 'white people' , how would that sound?

I guess no-one twigs the actual tone of the article by the blogger in question.

NewsCorp etc are not Jewish-owned. Nor the likes of Fox.
Neither are the Mail group, the Independent, the Telegraph group, the BBC, Sky etc.

The Irish 'run' the police and fire departments on the East Coast of the States (since we're obviously talking so-called 'Western culture' here).

The rag trade is generally run at source (material, colourings, labour in production) by Pakistani and Indian entrepreneurs in their own countries and in countries in Asia, the Americas and Europe.

There are many generalisms out there. The entertainment business was big amongst the Jewish communities at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century because Jews were forbidden to own their own business in many trades in those trades. Entertainment was one of the few areas where Jews could do business legally with non-Jews. This laid down the roots of Hollywood's growth. The media is a lot more than 'Hollywood' or movies and TV.
