    Hi all just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on holidays in Croatia. We were hoping to go the last week of August or maybe October
    -whats the weather like at his time?
    -Is a week long enough, could stretch it to 10 days
    -Is it expensive
    -Its for a couple in their mid to late 20s.
    -Plenty of sightseeing but also time to relax
    -Good nightlife
    -Beach and pool
    -Snorkling (not very important but a plus)
    -Flying from Ireland so think the only airport we can directly fly into is Dubrovnik.
    -All suggestions welcome

    Was there for a few weeks in July, hot at that time but imagine it would be a nice bit cooler October. We thought it was a little cheaper than at home - food, diesel, drink def cheaper) even got my hair cut there in Rovinj 7 euro!! - cheap or what! We did the big tour of Istria first - nice campsites but so called beaches are just rock, but you get used to them. Was lots of places with snorkelling too. Western Istria good sightseeing, very touristy (Umag, Rovinj a must see, Pula with its small Roman amphitheatre and nice campsites some with pools, just outside town. Then headed for Rabac on eastern side of Istria, mountain roads lead to a small crowded beach with a few big hotels and a big campsite, bit of a turn-off this place. Then on to Rijeka, very spread out on the outskirts of the city with lots of tourists (and locals) vying for places on small beaches (stone, gravel, concrete) not like at home at all. So hot we headed for the sticks (Mrzla Vodica and Lokve overlooking Rijeka), very few tourists here but laid back and people nice. Bear country around here with a lake with facilities for mountain biking if you're into that. Then on to Senj on Kvarner Gulf, islands, etc, also Plitvice Lakes which is well worth a visit. Just in case, bring the rain gear. Hope you get something out of this. Think you would need more than a week or 10 days to enjoy;)
