I'm on the look out for a decent Wireless bike computer with Casdence function. I have seen this: LINKY

but it does not appear to have wireless function. I would prefer wireless as i wish to change it over from my road bike to mountain bike without having to rewire the computer each time. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

I have this one, its wireless works well. However it needs to be zip tied onto the chainstays so wouldn't be easy to change from bike to bike.

True that. But it would be more manageable than a wired set up which is what i do not what. Ribble seem to be the cheapest on this by a good bit. www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/Cateye-computers-Cateye-Strada-Double-Wireless-Computer/CATECOMP350

For just a few bucks more, I'd tend to go for the Polar CS200cad at €109, which gives wireless speed, cadence and heart rate, along with PC connectivity.

You will still need to move the sensors each time, which tbh is a pain in the ass anyway. Wired -v- wireless will only take a few seconds longer to route the cable, most of the time is spent making sure the sensors and magnets are properly placed.

You can get a Strada Cadence + second mount & sensors for a second bike, for the same price as one Strada Cadence Wireless. Means you only have to move the computer, just have the sensors mounted on both bikes.

Get one of the cheapo speedo's from Lidl (or Aldi )

    set the circumference to 1667 (167 cm) ( 60 revolutions =100m)
instead of putting the magnet on a spoke put it on a cable tie and hence on to the crank
you will have to tilt the sensor about 45 degrees as it sticks out too much

works, only problem is that when you cycle at 68 rpm it will say
    68
You also get maximum cadence, average cadence, and if you multiply the distance in kilometers by 600 you get the number of times you've turned the pedals. You could use the other display on it to see the time / temperature while your main speed does speed/distance.

If you want to see both digits fully you would need 5 magnets on the chain ring spider and set the circumference to 3333 ( or three magnets and a circumference of 5555 ) but then you'd be limited to 99 rpm

Went with the Cateye Double Wireless Strada from Merlin cycles. Just picked up a second sensor on Flea bay for £14 delivered...result.

I have a HRM already which i use with my Android apps (Endomundo, Sports-tracker etc)

Thanks to all for your input guys. I will update on my findings when i have it set up and tested etc.
