It a Dell Flat screen monitor and it seems to be kaput .

The Model No. is in Chinese .

Is there anything can be done with these monitors , or are just throw-away when this happens ?

    Its about 3 years old

    black screen

Get a torch, can you see any display on the screen? Could be the inverter or backlight bulb have gone

    hi guys
I have just hooked up the monitor to a laptop and it has a black screen.

But I could see ' starting windows '' through it .

I have used atorch and can see the icons on desktop.

It is just the backlight then ? and how do you fix this

the button on the monitor is green and if I turn it off and back on again , I can see the screen for a split second .

Would'nt think its worth getting repaired so , whether its backlight or inverter

Possibly not tbh, if its an old monitor just get a new one, they are cheap enough these days

Its obviously best to throw-away in the nearest bin .

Not worth the hassle of trying to fix .- might keep the 3 pin plug and cable .

Looking on youtube , it looks to be a tricky job to fit either .
