    Hi folks,
    Some advice please..
Due to my weight and poor local roads, I thought I would try some 28C tyres for my road bike to increase comfort until I loose some more weight,
The 28C fits on the rear, but wont fit on the front as it is rubbing on the underside of the fork......:(
    Question as follows.....
Is it OK to use a 28C Vittoria tyre on the rear along with a 25C Continental on the front?
Are there any safety issues with this?

P.S.....Both Tyres appear have an almost similar tread..i.e. almost slick appearance.....
    Thanks....

I have used similar combinations with no problems, I don't think that there are safety issues.
For more comfort one can use a tyre with more flexible sidewall, though they carry a risk of more frequent punctures as wear increases. I recently replaced worn Panaracer Pasela TourGuard tyres with Continental Gator, the ride is now much harder, very noticable on roads surfaced with large chippings, so I'm going to switch back as soon as I find Pasela stockist.

Chain Reaction Cycles stock them... 25 euro a time...
