    Hi All,

The bar under the drivers seat is missing.

Would anyone know how much it would cost to get it replaced?

If the bar has broken off then you will likely have to replace the whole seat base.

As has been said, there will be no shortage of fiesta's in breakers yards so it would be easy to find.

Is this a new car to you or have you had it a while i.e you know the handle was there but is now gone?

A seat base new you be a few quick I'd say but again, you'd get one cheap in a scrap yard.

Ewww, I think I know what might be wrong!!

There isn't meant to be a bar under the seat and there is nothing wrong or broken!!

There is a moulded plastic knob on the front right hand corner of the seat base, just at your right knee. If you pull this out, it will unlock the seat and it can be moved to the desired position.

Are ya sure? There is a bar under the passenger side.

There is a plastic lever on the side of the drivers seat, looks like that is only for the seat height.

Sorry, please disregard my post. The oddly placed release handle only applies to earlier fiestas.

03 models would indeed have a bar type release handle.

In that case there must indeed be something broken or missing. As has been mentioned, a breakers yard would be the best source of a replacement. The mechanism for adjustment bolts onto the bottom of the seat so you won't have to change the entire seat, only this part of it.

Also have the same type car(05 year)

The under seat release bar snapped last night

Will the seat base need to be replaced or can this be repaired easily?

    Thanks

(Sorry for dragging up an old thread)
