What is this worth, MX-5 Hard Top?

My Dad has an MX5 Hard top, as in the actual roof and not the complete car. It was on his 1998 model and is painted red, I had a quick look over it and it seems in good condition. He has a 2002 MX-5 now, but it will not fit. He is looking to sell it, but does not know what it is worth, and neither do I.

So if there are any MX-5 heads here who might, could you point me in the right direction. I have registered with the MX-5 owners club here but waiting for approval.

I know a guy who bought a black one for €400, that would appeal to owners of any colour mx5

Club is best way to sell, although a lot of clubs dislike people who sign up to sell stuff

The black or the red would appeal? The roof could be painted whatever colour the new owner wanted.

Black, you could use it on almost any colour without it looking odd, red would have to be sprayed which is more expense for the potential buyer.

I know they're a lot more expensive new so it'll be a supply and demand thing. Hopefully there aren't a lot more or sale out there.

Try www.mx5ireland.com/forum - couple of lids for sale there from EUR350 up. The same roof fits any MX5 1989 to 2005 (NA and NB models). If it doesn't fit, the car is probably missing some hardware - bolts and the like - easily sourced from Autocheck in Swords
