I am thinking of buying an international 1046 , 4wd, old tractor with dry brakes, great engine etc, i think year around the late 70's but anyway had been stored in shed for 7-8 years, its got no brakes on it at all and were very poor when it was going.
I wonder how much roughly it would cost to do the brakes up on this.
would it be a big job?

    thanks

only ever worked on one 1046 but tought they all had wet brakes,
as for a job you could be looking around €300+ labour not sure on price of brakes but I would start by checking out the master cylinders

if you have to change the discs they are about £60 for a set of two, thats two discs used each side,if its a case the discs are worn down to the metal the pistons could be scored you cant skim them, for a 956 they are £800 a side that was what i was quoted for my 956 the half axle casting for a 956 will fit a 1046 the internals will prob be the same too,its not too bit a job change the discs jack the cab off the axle mounts and an engine crane or similar to lift the axle halves.
