UPC tv / broadband conflict

Hey,

Having a problem with a new UPC installation - broadband works fine until TV box is turned on, at which point it usually falls over. Signal noise ratio isn't great at best of times (29-35) - but when tv box is on typically some of the channels show as 0 in the modem interface. Presume it has something to do with the on demand service.

It's the new hd+ box. Anyone run into anything like this?

Dodgy splitter maybe or wrong configuration on the splitter?
