Upc multiroom and saorview

Apologies for asking what has surely been asked before, but i can not find any posts to help!
I have 4 rooms in the home that i would like tv in. Im with upc, i have upc channells in my living room and i pay €8 per month extra to upc for multiroom to have the same channells in my kitchen.
I would like tv in the bedroom as the wife loves an early night and a wee bit if tv, and then i would like it in my sons bedroom.
I know i can pay €8 per room (€16) per month to upc for two more multiroom units but my bill is already sky high as i have broadband and sky sports (my vice) and full max package.

So my question is, to avoid this €16 per month for ever! Can i buy a Saorview box for each room, and while i will only get saorview approved channells, Ie RTE, that is all i would want in these rooms?

Is this possible? I am also unsure if it is bending the rules or perfectly legit!!
    Appriciate any feedback. Thanks

You can do whatever you want to decrease your bills.

Why would it not be perfectly legit.

You can buy HD combo boxes for €80, that do the UK free channels and Saorview Channels in one channel list on one box in one remote. You will need to install a Dish and aerial to cover whatever number of rooms you want. There is no subscription charges after that. A dish is about €35 with cabling, a UHF aerial about the same. YOu could do it yourself for €150/€200 all in, once off.

    Many thanks STB.
Combo box sounds ideal. Will go with a saorview/free uk one, what would you recommend! Google brings up many choices!
Was a bit weary that i was breakin rules by asking about cutting costs and so on! Thanks for clearing that up for me, guess i was extra sensitive - being a Boards virgin up to a few days ago! :-)

I bought a Triax HD combo box for the kitchen, I have Sky but this is very handy as if someone is watching a Sky channel I can watch one of the FTA channels and it has Saoirview as well.
