Audi dealers N Ireland - thoughts?

    Well lads,

I've done some research, started the odd thread to gather some info, talked to some people and I've come to a conclusion regarding my next car (drum roll please)

Im 97.3% certain im going to get an Audi A4 TDI :D
    Hopefully a 2009 model.

I've put some thought into going up North for it (better spec & could save a few bob, might not be a massive amount but it all adds up)

Can anyone from experience, living in NI or via word of mouth from your buddies etc etc recommend reputable dealer's up there ?

*I guess this thread could also leave me open to some people warning me off doing the above, as there are some negatives but it's just an idea right now, it might not happen..

Thanks in advance, as usual you're thoughts are hugely appreciated.

Just that you asked for a drum roll..............for an Audi tdi...:D

In all seriousness though, I'm not sure how the sterling is against the euro these days but I'd go for a car down in the south tbh. Not sure the savings of going up North are as great as they used to be.

    Sorry it wasnt a Ferrari !! :)

Totally realise the savings are not as good, but there still seems to be some value there. Add in the different spec and it may be worth it.

I'm basically trying to cover all angles. If I even saved a few euro's and got a much better spec, I'd have to consider it.

Go to the UK to some of the car auction houses over there (BCA for example). This is where there are savings to be made and most cars are fleet cars with full service history and very well specced.

Also http://www.lomondaudigroup.com/ if you decide to venture as far as the UK.

As far as official Audi dealers up North are concerned, there's only Agnews. They have a place in Portadown and their new place beside the Titanic Quarter. They used to be off Boucher Road which was a lot handier.

Bit pi$$ed of with Audi here - I have been emailing Audi Ballsbridge and Audi in Belfast with queries on parts, servicing, and phonekits but have only been getting replies from Belfast.

Paid a visit to Audi in Ballsbridge yesterday afternoon to enquire about a bike rack and the phone kit only to be turned away... no accessories brochures, and "please phone our parts department on Monday". Bit blase' really

I have bought Jag parts from Hurst Motors in Belfast, so have no qualms about buying across the border. Haven't bought and imported an actual car that way, so good luck :D
