Ripping Sofware?

I have a few dvds lying around the house that i'll like to put onto the ps3. What is the best ripping service to use? preferably free of charge

If makemkv says that your trial is up but you can still use full functionality (even though you can't) and/or asks you for an activation code, this is it. Copy and paste into the register selection under the Help Tab.

DVDFAB is best as keeps original DVD structure and chapters (handy if using and external media player that needs them and so you can fast forward), MKV just fires it into the one folder/container.

Only prob with DVDFAB is you have to bring the HD Audio (or the 5:1HD if it's an option) which can add 7GB to size of movie, if you remove it you'll end up with the directors commentary instead of the film audio. It's been like that for over a year, never fixed. Stumped me for along time.

In the 'main movie' option you can pick whatever audio stream you want.

Most of the time 2 channel audio is the directors cut or special features though, you'll need to re-encode the 7.1 audio to a different format, even make it mp3 2 channel for more compression, but you'll loose quality sometimes significantly

Well of course....I dont really see the issue?

Here's an example:


If I don't pick the main English HD audio (DTS HD Master), then all I get is the English commentary (AC-3/2). I mean...that's all that's on the disc, where is the problem
