Borrow a GoPro camera

In two weeks time I am off to the Pyrenees with a group of boardies and it would be nice to have a camera with us.

Does anyone feel generous enough to lend us one? I will take all responsibility and in case something happens to it I will cover the damage.

I know someone with a go pro, I'll ask him too.

No sold that, the lenses weren't wide enough for a helmet camera, it was more suited to other things.

im bringing a 10mp point and shoot that will take video. Not sure what the video quality is like tho. And i have no way of mounting it.

might not have much luck getting a loan of a 200 euro go pro, but what about picking up a ~€10 key fob camera and taping it to your head/bars etc

Thanks subway, the problem with them is that the FOV is really narrow, so it's quite hard to get a good video out of them. Unless there is a wide lens one? And now it's probably too late to order one for next week.

i dont think they're much more limited field than the gopro, just lower resolution and not as well built.

where in dublin are you, I've one here, you're welcome to try it out and take a loan if it does the job.

I was in 53DegreesNorth in blanch at the weekend and they have a GoPro Hero1 for €235 which is only €5 more than wiggle.

I think they had a hero 2 for €345.

Don't think either came with mounts.

All the Hero 2 packages come with mounts. The Hero 1 Naked Package doesn't come with mounts (other then a sticky one).

So i am giving my Go Pro camera on loan to astra monti for the trip to the pyrenees.

thing is : Astra has to do the Wexford Wheelers : tour of wexford afterwards with friends !!!!

whats the tour of wexford? I hope its extremely difficult.

For my own sins, I have to do a 60k race on that evil little Donore circuit that pulls the legs outta ye the day after we get back....
