Hi all, Bourke's Bar used to do a really good chowder at lunchtime, but they've stopped doing food recently. Does anybody have recommendations for a pub/cafe/restaurant in town that does a good chowder at lunchtime?

Curraghower on Clancy Strand is your best bet for seafood chowder, I reckon.

Would agree with this. I've had it a few times and think its the best around. Its full of good quality fish.

Had chowder in two city center locations recently.

Savoy Hotel (Henry St) - found it bland and a bit watery.

Zest Cafe (Limerick City Gallery/Peoples Park) - thought it was pretty nice.

On a fish related note, was in the George at lunchtime, and got charged €12 for a glorified salmon and prawn sandwich???!!!
