Can anyone tell me whether Specialized Rib Cage bottle cages have two sets of mounting holes so that the cage can be mounted lower on the frame? I suspect not but I can't find any photos which clearly show the mount holes at all.

To the best of my recollection, yes. I remember fitting them to all sizes of bikes and never having trouble getting them to fit larger bottles on smaller frames, if that's what you're worried about?

Basically yes. I want to allow as much clearance for a 710ml or 750ml bottle as possible. A regular cage position might actually be fine but I'd like to hedge my bets. The Specialized cages are more appealing but an alternative brand does have dual mount holes for certain which might swing the choice their way if the Specializeds have only one set of mount holes.

Hmmm, I think it would be ok. There is also the side-loading "zee cage", or you could just do the RIGHT thing and not use such hideously large bottles. Dehydration is a small price to pay for looking a little more pro.
