Question About PS3

    I switch the console on, I hear the orchestra tuning up, I see the logo, then....all I'm left with is the stars rotating on the green backdrop. What is wrong, can anyone tell me?

    From an off mode. press the power button and hold until you hear the second beeps. About 5 seconds.

    Thanks for your reply but nothing is happening, except now the screen is showing nothing.

    ****, I know that the process i told you resets the video settings so I hoped it would help but hmmmm...

    You reset the video to SD mode, should still display but at a lower res..

    How is your PS3 connected to your TV? Via HDMI cable or component?

    Whichever one it is, try the other one and see if you can at least get the main menu up.
