    How can I set up a shortcut to invert screen colours? There used to be similar option in CM7, but I can't find it in CM9.

    In other words I need a widget that can trigger this:
    System Settings->Advanced->Screen->Negative Mode

    I prefer to read white text on black background, especilly when it's dark around me. Some (most) webpages use black on white. Same applies to redorbit app.

    The browser has an option to do that in Accessibility preferences.

    The option is there, but I want a shortcut/widget/power bar entry :D

    There must be apps out there that can create shortcuts to arbitrary activities i.e. the negative switch. Adw launcher let you do that but you probably don't want to change your launcher.

    CM7 uses ADW (I think so...), but CM9 uses Trebuchet and I'd rather stick to it...

    It might be good time to get my hands dirty with coding on android again :)

    This will let you create a shortcut to any activity, ADW style

    Nice one :)
    However the option is not an activity, so I can't make the shortcut. I can make shortcut to screen settings, but looks like it has to be a dedicated widget to toggle "Negative Mode" directly.

    Another reason to do this is to save battery , especially with amoled screens. I use my phone upside down. This won't work for you if you actually make phone calls, but it has a few benefits. I tweak the brightness rules so that when I put my thumb over the sensor the brightness goes way down.

    If you change to ICS Browser+ (just a slightly modified version of the stock browser) you can set one of the thumb-slide controls to invert colors.

    That's all the help I can offer to you on this, goodluck!

    I found the invert option, but I can't find those "thumb-slide controls". Any hints?

    BTW First impression: quite good browser...

    The newest Siyah kernel (3.3.3c) + ExTweaks give an option to enable switching to negative mode by quick pressing home button 4 times. Works like a charm! :D
