Hey All, Heading to the philippines in a few months, and just wondering in there anywhere in Ireland i can buy Philippine Peso? BOI told me it was a closed currency and hence they don't do it, any other banks?

Hi there,

I visited the Philippines in February - I didn't bother getting any Peso here in Ireland before I left. There is a limit on how much you can bring in or out of the country if I remember correctly.

I was flying with Etihad so had a stop in Abu Dhabi and got some Peso there. Most ATM's in urban areas will gladly dispense Peso from your credit or Laser card.

Enjoy your trip - I know I did.
