Hi. I have a hybrid for tryin to improve my fitness but am interested in doing a little touring. Question is: I have a Raleigh Pioneer Airlite hybrid that I bought 5 yrs ago. It has about 10 miles total on it but has languished in the shed for 5 yrs. Tyres shot but otherwise should be ok. Do you think it would be a suitable bike for a bike tour in Ireland or Europe? FB

Yes, it should be workable. Personnally I wouldn't tour on a flat bar bike but some people seem to find it fine. If you do get uncomfortable you could always switch to butterfly bars.
