Hey, doesn't matter how, but lets just say this briefly:

What to do if I wander into M50 or other motorway as learner by accident?
I mean to get out of motorway you need to drive through it, but I am technically not allowed to drive on it. I been wondering this question for ages.

A friend of mine always used to wonder this as well. If you accidently wander onto a motorway, just keep going straight and get off the next exit. You cant actually do anything else, you cannot stop or reverse etc.. so the only option is to go straight and get off.

Just get off at the nearest exit.

whatever you do do not make a stop, like completely stop the car in the middle of a dual carraigeway youre car will be hammered to smitehrines if you do..as the cars go by so fast, first thing to do is maintain speed, look for the exits signs and slow up to get in lane to make your exit..

would you get fined for this? I mean for getting into Motorway as learner.

Get off at the next exit would be the only answer! You can't stop/do a u-turn or reverse back.

yeah I heard that on Motorways it's like an air traffic, literally everyone flying by and if you stop, crap is gonna happen.

This is Ireland, its hard enough to get the guards to come to your house after a robbery. Its highly unlikely they would notice you on the M50 for the distance between 2 exits. Dont worry.

Unfortunately it is your responsibility as a driver to pay attention to the road signs and know what exit you are taking, or where a particular road leads. There will be plenty of signs to let you know you are entering a motorway. You could be stopped and receive the full penalties, although I suspect explaining the situation to a Gard would see you sorted.

Well the first thing to do is don't panic! (Hitchhikers reference there).

Stay in the exit lane and proceed to the next one. If you're 'forced' to merge in to traffic make sure to keep to the left lane and move back in to the exit as early as possible.

And a big plus one on this.

Motorways are incredibly easy to drive on and use. Nothing to be afraid of, just stay left and use your mirrors. And don't be afraid to get up to speed either.
