I'm an awful man for the chocolate! :) I would have two bars or more usually per day. I'm currently trying to cut my chocolate intake with fruit. I currently have my breakfast (Cornflakes or Weetabix) with a cup of tea, an apple at 10am, a sandwich, pear, plum, etc at half 12 with tea. Would have a banana around 3pm. Have dinner after football/hurling training. Is there something that will give me a healthy boost other than chocolate? I'm 5'10 and about 13 stone.

Any advice will be great. :)

I used to eat a fcukload of chocolate, but cut it out completely 11 yrs ago and haven't had nor wanted it since. The way I did it was to start with I had an apple everytime I wanted choc. (I ate alot of apples!!) Then I started to see when I was hungry and when it was just a habit thing. After about 3 weeks I genuinely didn't even think about having chocolate and thesw days I can't even remember what it tastes like.

Try having a couple of squares of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa). It's not bad for you, less sugar than milk chocolate and it's really intensely flavoured so you won't eat much of it.

Might look into that chocolate and give it a try. Can you get it in any supermarket?

Aldi do really nice dark chocolate - a long black carboard box of small individually wrapped bars in 70%, 80%, there may be a 90% too. Half of one of those bars would generally do me in one sitting :)

Probably not as good in quality as Lindt or one of those, but tasty all the same.

It's called Moser Roth - so good. My problem is that I could eat the whole 125g in a sitting.

Yeah the moser roth one from Aldi is yum and it's individually wrapped so it's easier to portion control. If you're not used to dark chocolate I'd start on a 70% one though. Those 80% and 90% ones can taste like a punch in the mouth if you're not used to it! You can get this kind of chocolate in any supermarket, but it's usually near the biscuits/gift chocolates and not your regular chocolate section.
