Hi guys. I just recently moved into a new appartment. i bought a sarorview approved tv today and can receive rte1, rte2, tv3, tg4, bbc2, itv and ch4. I am just wondering is there some box i can buy to pick up 3e and channel5 and the e4's etc WITHOUT installing a satelite dish?

Where are you located to receive that odd selection of channels (no BBC1?)?

I wonder is it all off-air analogue or maybe mixed with modulated output of satellite receivers. It's certainly not Saorview.

You're probably picking up the UK analogue channels from a local deflector.

Have you done a digital scan with the new Saorview TV? The channels carried on the service are RTÉ1/2, TV3, TG4, 3e, RTÉ News Now, RTÉjr and RTÉ1+1.

Channel 5 is only available via a satellite dish I believe. E4 is also available via a satellite dish and also if you subscribe to Sky or UPC.

Ask the apartment management company what TV system they are providing and what channels you should get. Then ask them if you buy a Saorview compatable box or TV if you will get extra channels or not.
