Trasnfering money out of the US

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a company to transfer money out of the US at a good exchange rate and with minimal fees?

Having a look through goggle land and spotted Venstar Exchange - not looking too bad.

Western star have to be the worst quote so far - $4% fee and a really bad exchange rate!

    Thanks, N.

P.S. - not sure if it makes a difference but will be transferring to Australia. I wish Oz/USForex existed in Pennsylvania!

Can you not just do a direct bank transfer, account to account? That tends to be easiest and usually has decently low fees.

I set up a paypal account with my US card and then set up one with my Irish account.
Sent the money as a gift from my U.S to Irish account and only paid a 50 cent ($0.50) processing fee. The exchange rate is pretty decent too
