Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

While booking tickets at the NCH website, I noticed the web page that asks for the credit card number is doing so on an unsecured connection.

There's no indication of any encryption being used to send the credit card details across to the NCH booking system, which I found alarming.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

    Regards,

Unfortunately their whole site in general is pretty poor. They've no custom errors either, so it reveals table names etc. by doing something as simple as trying to create an account when you already have one.

Although they don't force https, they do support it though, so if you browse and book from https://nch.ie instead, it'll be at least slightly better.

Guys, just to let you know, this has been fixed. We had a update to the software recently and this affected the https:// redirect that was in place.

If you ever spot any other issues on the website, feel free to email me joanne.taaffe@nch.ie

    Kind regards,
