okay so i am the least tech-y girl you will ever meet and recently when i typed my email into google accidentally a whole bunch of results came up- including one associated with "f*ckbook. com" a site me and my friend joined as a joke aaages ago! i deleted my a/c but when i searched again it was still there. i'm terrified that employers/family/friends etc will find info about me that i don't want shared. is there anyone who can tell me how to remove my email from google completely? it seems deleting your account isn't enough? any help GREATLY appreciated!! :pac:

See here. Probably won't be an easy process mind you, and Google probably won't entertain you (although you could argue your email address could be easily accesable to spammers and go that route). Also you could change your email address and let that one go off the radar is another option

You'll need to change your privacy settings in facebook.

So in there click on edit settings under Apps and Websites, scroll down to Public Search and click Edit Settings, then uncheck the option for enable public search.

Unfortunately you won't be able to remove your search results from google...unless you file a superinjunction. :pac:

Before deleting your account on any site you don't want to be apart of any more, I would change your details (email address, location etc).

This way, even if the site don't delete your account fully, they still have the 'wrong' details so it would be harder to connect you to these sites.

You will probably need a fake 'disposable' email address so just create one on hotmail or gmail with some random name.
