canon mount to pentax

    do any camera shops sell lens adapters in ireland? not online as i dont have a credit card.

    my dad has a couple of pentax lenses and i want to try them on my 60D. just im overseas and wondering if i can pick one up tomorrow easier here or try when i get home.

    Maybe, but I've never seen them, and have only seen them on ebay etc...

    Are they K-mount or M42 lenses? Do a google image search if you're not sure.

    Apparently Ks are difficult to fit onto a Canon. You might have to physically modify the mount before it will work. And you'll still need an adapter when you're done.

    M42 mounts are dead easy and work perfectly - just try to get one with an AF confirm chip in it. They're pretty useful.

    I don't know about camera shops stocking them, but if you're in Dublin you could try John Gunn's on Wexford St. (opposite Whelan's pub) or Camera Exchange on George's Street. Gunn's is probably your best bet.

    I bought an adapter that will put Canon F-Mount and EF-Mount lenses on my Pentax digital cams. (I also have an OLD Canon SLR, a Pellix QL)
    There doesn't appear to be a way to put EOS lenses on a Pentax that I've found.
