Looking for a road bike.

    I hope this is the right place for advice on what I should be looking for in a road bike.

    My criteria:

    €400 - €500 range.
    Will be used for training, averaging 150km a week.
    Will hopefully be used in Gaelforce West in August.
    Brand names is not a major issue for me, I just want a decent bike.


    I'm wondering can you suggest any options for me. I know very little about bikes, hence asking here, so all input is appreciated.

    I have my eye on one or two, but I don't know if they'd be any good.

    donedeal or adverts.

    second hand will get you a decent road bike.

    i recently purchased a Trek 1.2 for 500.
    running perfectly and a joy to cycle.
    and also better spec's than a bike from halfords or the likes.
