Anyone remember an American series set around a helicopter search and rescue unit?.
I don't think it was around that long.Sometime in the 80s.
The boss of the outfit was called Trap I think but I can't remember another thing about it.

Sounds like it's '240-Robert' you're talking about. Starred Mark Harmon who currently plays Gibbs in 'NCIS'. I remember they showed it on Sky Channel/Sky One back in the late '80s. They seemed to show quite a few of those old '70s cop and rescue-type shows on Sky back then, e.g. 'SWAT', 'Emergency', 'Chopper One', 'Adam 12', 'Chopper Squad', etc. They must have managed to get them cheap or something.

Here's the opening titles of '240-Robert' for you, does that seem to be the one you were thinking of?
