I took out the sky card on my sky hd box tonight and inserted the BAI card.

This got me the free UK channels with 101 showing as BBC1 :D

Now my problem ... I cant get the Irish channels.

My tv is saorview approved and I bought an aerial => http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/9004272/Trail/searchtext%3EINDOOR+AERIAL.htm

My wiring configuration is as follows.
SKY HDMI between the tv and the sky box.
Satellite cable into the back of the box
The aerial connected between the Aerial and the antenna socket on the tv.

How can I get the Irish channels.
    I'm in Cabra.

    Thanks in advance.

You might require an outdoor or attic aerial to improve reception.

Have you tried testing the indoor aerial at different parts of the room/house.

I,m not trying to be smart here but i know someone who did exactly the same as the op and who after plugging in the aerial couldnt get the irish channels. problem was they didnt tune them in, thought they would just be there automatically.

Thought that might be a possibility..not discounting the try another room scenario.

How do I tune them in on a sky box?

What do you mean by this?
How do I tune them in on a sky box?

And this? Your aerial won't get you any channels on a Sky box, plug it into the tv.

You dont tune them in on the skybox, you tune them in through the tuning menu on the tv.
Now unless your are sending the sky and aerial signals to other tv,s in other rooms through a distribution system then you should plug the aerial directly into the aerial socket on the tv. Either way it will still work. Aerial can go to rf in on skybox and loop out to aerial socket on tv from rf1 out socket.
Press menu on tv remote and find the setup section then the tuning menu and select automatic tuning. The tv will scan for channels and if it finds them will store them for you. Point aerial in direction of transmitter if you know what direction it is.
