    Asking price: €400

Medium sized Ridley Orion frameset originally purchased as a complete bike in Summer 2008. Bike has been well looked after and never crashed. There are a few scuffs from cable rub and 4 years of use, but I would describe the frame as being in very good condition. It was my first carbon bike and has performed well as both a sportive bike and a beginner racer.

Won’t be racing for the rest of the year after my hiatus down under, so I’ve decided to make room until next season when I’ll get something new. Bike has been stripped down, so what is on sale is:

    • Frame
    • Fork
    • Headset
    • 3T ARX Pro (120mm) stem
    • 2 carbon bottle cages (not shown on bike), 22g each

Please note, the seatpost shown is not for sale. The headset bearings are on their last legs. It’s a campy 45/45 standard, you can pick them up pretty cheap and this has been taken into account in the final price. I had a spare derailleur hanger as well, if I find it before the sale I’ll throw it in too. Always handy to have one in case!

    Frame geometry (all in cm):
    Top tube (effective): 55
Seat tube (centre to centre): 49
    Head tube: 15.5
    Seat angle: 74
    Head tube angle: 73

Available for viewing or collection in Ballsbridge during the week.

    €400

Were you riding that bike south from Ballsbridge towards Blackrock last Sunday around 15:00 - 16:00?

Nope. It hasn't been ridden since about last July I reckon.

Do you know how much the frame/forks weigh?

No. Bathroom scales is telling me that the entire frameset (as pictured with stem, seatpost and spacers) weighs 2.4 Kg.

I think with an Athena groupset and ksyrium wheels it weighed around 8 Kg built up.

It's far from a super-light frameset, but it is very comfortable while still being stiff and responsive.

I don't have any 25s to test, but I would have thought so, I've never really noticed any tight clearances on it.

I had Conti Grand Prix 24's back and front comfortably on my 2011 version of the frame with no issues, if that helps. 25's should be no issue at all, I reckon.

    Price drop: €350 (with 120mm 3T stem)

Term approaches and I need space...someone is going to get a good deal on this.

Dirk, could I come out and take a look at this? I was interested when you first put the bike up but what's slowed me down is the knowledge that I'd need to find another €1k or so to complete it - which I don't have. Still if you're willing to put up with the possibility that I'm wasting your time...

By all means. I think the rules, etc. mean you have to make an offer subject to viewing. I'll PM you details when I receive that.

No worries, I'll see if rfynnr is still interested in the meantime.
