I might have a job in New Zealand and would move the whole family down there if I get it. We own our house and owe more than it is worth. We don't want to sell at a loss and rental would not cover the mortgage. Would the bank allow us to have a moratorium on our mortgage for a few years with the view to selling it in a few years when things pick up a bit.

Best bet is to fill in the form in the Bank called the MARP as its called and see what they say
