Today Alan Corcoran completed his 35th marathon in 35 days,he ran 917 miles all over Ireland

Fairplay to the lad he's only 21 and he done it all for charity :)
Alan Corcoran, 21, from Waterford is taking on the challenge of his life… to help save lives from stroke and spread more hope. And all he wants in return, is a euro for every marathon he completes.

Some people like to run from top to bottom or from east to west. Maybe even diagonally. But Alan likes to start as he means to finish. And finish in the same place he started. Which is why Alan is going to become the first man to run a lap of Ireland starting from his hometown of Waterford city. Yes, you read correctly – that’s 35 marathons, in 35 days. Or 917 miles…

Bishop Brennan is holding a poster for "The Passion of St. Tibulus" with photos of Ted, Dougal and Jack apparently endorsing the film
There's you, there's Forrest Gump! And there's Father Jack actually watching the film!

There are a lot of people doing excellent work with endurance running in this country. I was looking at a marathon in very county a few years back. It is a hidden sport here, fair play though I can imagine the feeling crossing that last line.

Fair play to him, he certainly puts all the moochers who arrange their bucket list in the name of "charity" to shame.

Massive well done to the guy. Not an easy task for even some of the best athletes out there.

Fairly easy for a lad like yerself to pull the belly off himself, he could probably do the same to himself sure. But you wouldnt do what he did, there's the difference.

Fair play to him. Jaysus one marathon is hard enough to run (from experience), 35 in a row is amazing.

Got it down to a fine art yet?

And he seems to do a lot of running so that's two things he has in common with Forrest Gump.

Good on him.:) I think I'll sponsor him actually.

    Well done, very impressive.

BUT wouldn't it just annoy you that he didn't just keep going and do an even 1000?

Yes I'm OCD or as I call it CDO.
