Best of luck kuro man. Definitely seems to be a lack of cycling clubs in West Wicklow. Closest ones to Blessington appear to be Naas and IRC, which is a bit of a trip for any newbie.

Perfectly positioned tbh for club spins and the like. Might also be worth teaming up with a bike shop in the town, if nothing else but to raise awareness.

F&ck me, if that's not one of the best, most appropriate names I've heard for a cycling club :)

Best of luck with it - can't wait to see the kit

Reservoircogs.ie and we are on Facebook too. The club logo is nearly finished. Clever bit of artwork. I'll post it up when it's finished. We are only up and running (cycling) for the last 2 months but we have 70+ on our books.

Best of luck with your new club. I hope to get out and join you for the odd spin from time to time after I get back from the Ring of Kerry Charity cycle, if you don't mind a hanger on from the other side of Kipure.

Tried to see web site Reservoircogs.ie but all I get is an add for a web hosting site. Should the web site up and running yet?

AArgh, raging, thought this was on Wednesday.
Was on the bike this evening, I could have spun over (that would actually have been a good effort for me given my current fitness level, but it reads better) this evening.

@kuro_man :I would be interested in joining if reservoir cogs is one of those clubs that doesn't take itself too seriously, if you know what I mean.

    NJ

@ com1, where would a gentleman find such a splendid jersey ? I take it is kosher to wear it outdoors, (there was a thread recently on in appropriate kit)

The club hasn't officially formed yet - for various reasons we are aiming for a November launch. In the meantime, people can meet on an informal basis. The regular spins are Sunday morning @ 9am and, during summer, Wednesdays @ 7pm. All spins meet in outside Dunnes Stores in Blessington. There is usually a road and a mtb group going out.

For news, updates etc it is highly advisable to join the facebook page: search for Reservoir Cogs Cycling Club.

@njburke, no problem, all welcome regardless of fitness or ability - just turn up to a regular spin and introduce yourself. PM me your email address for club news.

@Tourman, we have successfully reserved the domain name "reservoircogs.ie" but we haven't put up a webite yet.

You can't be Mr. Black. You're Mr. Pink! A bit of script from the film explains why no Reservoir Cogs can be Mr. Black. It would cause chaos at the club AGM.

Joe: No way, no way. Tried it once, doesn't work. You got four guys all fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black, but they don't know each other, so nobody wants to back down. No way. I pick. You're Mr. Pink. Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow.
Mr. Brown: Yeah, but Mr. Brown is a little too close to Mr. ****.
Mr. Pink: Mr. Pink sounds like Mr. Pussy. How 'bout if I'm Mr. Purple? That sounds good to me. I'll be Mr. Purple.
