Please move Mods if this is in the wrong forum. I have a Compaq laptop which has been working well until the last few days. I have spilt nothing on the keyboard but yet random keys seem to be sticking and/or not working. To give you an example, unless I batter down on the keyboard this is what happens:

My keyboard desnt really seem to bworking poperly in that it seems o be missing alot of letters. This seems to b done on a random basi wih no particlar letter nsistently sticing or orki.

As I'm using this laptop for working (which involves copywriting) this recent problem is a total pain in the Swiss! Is there a good way of cleaning my keyboard at home or what could be causing this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help or wise words!! :)

I would change the keyboard, not hard to fit. Or get a USB external keyboard.

Really? When it does what mine is doing does it normally mean the keyboard is on its last legs?:(

Well you can check its not a software problem with a USB KB; if you don't have one they're only 6euro in Tesco. Laptop keyboards aren't really designed to be serviced, and you'd probably get one for 20euro or less.

How do I do that Duckysauce? Can I do it myself or would I need to get a professional to look at it? Cheers
