Sorry should have explained, I am looking for the 500g Bar of black compound. Everywhere I try only has the liquid kind which is too messy for what I am doing.

If anyone knows where I can find buy a solid bar of black compound I would be grateful. Thanks.

    Anyone ????

A metal workers/welding wholesale supply shop.

Metal workers/welders use clay bars for polishing up various metals and alloys

I thought you were onto a winner there red sean but when I tried to order a €7 bar of compound, by the time they added tax and postage it had gone up to €18.50 - They are only in Roscommon for F sake! Is it any wonder people shop overseas!

I ended up going to ebay and getting one from the UK for €4.50, postage was actually more than the item @ €5.00 but a hell of a lot better than the Irish site.

I bought stuff for buffing my woodturned pens from the U.K and they were very reasonable also. Got the buffing wheels and all but one of the polishing compounds.

Job finished now, I was polishing the rings on old beer barrels. Pretty happy with the result!
