i have managed to tune in the digital radio stations on saorview ( via auto store) however the scan fails to pick up the tv channels....am i missing something. i would have thought that if the digital signal was present that both should appear on the scan ?

Radio channels and no TV channels will generally indicate a non compatible receiver.

What receiver are you trying to tune in?

    its a matsui TV..
receiver built in ...or not as may be the case. just found it strange that it scanned in radio stations but no tv. Listing starts at channel 808.
tv should start at 801 ?

Its has a digital tuner built-in as it picks up the radio channels, but the video decoder appears to be an MPEG-2 decoder for Freeview in the UK and not an MPEG-4 decoder for the Irish Saorview service - so no TV channels.

What country/region did you use to setup the TV - Ireland? Out of country/region channels are normally placed in the 800s.
