I was always a fan of Pippo, and dont really want to rush to judgement, but when he admits to 'working closely' with Michele Ferrari for "training advice" you have to ask serious questions. Ferrari is banned for life and CONI warned back in 2002 that any rider consulting with Ferrari would be subjec to a ban - you have to wonder about Pippo's judgement.
Perhaps he was only getting innocuous "advice", but he cant claim innocence.
Sad, really.
