    You could drop to a pentium G860 to save money, if it's just general stuff you won't notice a difference.

    EDIT: Try and squeeze an SSD if at all possible.

    Question on software4students.ie

    for 55 euro its the upgrade edition do you not need a current valid version of windows to use this?? or can u do a complete clean install.

    Yes you can. While technically you then have to sell your self built machine onto a third party, but ye you can. Microsoft won't come and get you. Well maybe....

    So it does work? where else can u get a full version for a reasonable price?
