    Hi all
I currently connect to the internet with my phone line using a wired modem provided by vodafone. I really need to go wireless to connect my new laptop so I'm looking for a new router. If I purchase a new wireless router do I need to connect my current wired modem to the wireless router or is it possible to remove the modem completely and just use the router. i know that vodafone offer their own wireless modem but its somewhat expensive for existing customers and i'm not sure how good the wireless signal is.

Connect your current modem to a wireless router, that'll send your internet around the house. Can also keep your main computer wired into a slot on the router :)

If you buy a new wireless router to replace your curret router youll have to get the WAN settings from vodafone. If you buy a wireless AP it will have to be connected to your current one with an ethernet cable, not forgeting to set up the security settings ;-)
