Level 5 Fetac is more or less equivalent to first year in a college. It will not stand instead of doing a first year but it is excellent experience and most people say it gave them a flying start on the higher level course.

As to whether it is worth doing, it depends on what you are looking for. The course says it will give you grounding on design, materials, metalcraft and business. If you are a newcomer to jewellery this would be an excellent start for you, if you already have a good bit of experience you might find it a bit repetitive, but it would consolidate your knowledge and you should end up with a certificate that would help you into higher level.

    Hi looksee,
Thanx for your reply. Yeah, it sounds like a good course to me & I am a beginner, so I think I would get a lot from it. I just wanted to get another opinion, so thanx again.
