Clean Up

As part of our ongoing efforts to make the forum a better place to post, we are going to be cleaning up the Political Theory forum over the next while.

The first step in this is that we are going to look at the open threads and see if they meet the standards laid out in the charter. As was suggested by posters in the past, we all generally want a higher standard of debate in this sub-forum, dealing specifically with Political Theory issues.

Any threads that, in our opinion, don't match this remit will be locked and/or deleted.

From this point on, we will be enacting the higher standard requirements much more rigorously. Threads will be moved to a more appropriate place, or closed if they do not meet this standard.

While not wanting to sound schoolteacher-ish, we will also be keeping an eye on general posting standards here and expecting that ALL posters in this sub-forum, post as per the charter and to the standard required.

In order for this all to work though, we will need help from you all as posters, a forum is only as good as the threads and posts in it, so it would be great if people could look at providing really good thread ideas to help kickstart the "new" fourm.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions

    Cheers

Does this also mean that you will clean up the replies? Or lack of in some cases?

For example, all the posts by benway that went unanswered by the Libertarian click!

I would suggest banning posters who don't reply or engage after soap boxing, primarily the libertarian click,

Or should I start a Feedback thread with examples,

[edit] if not answering is an acceptable debating Technic on boards [\zzzedit] then i take back my post
