hey whats up im off to canada soon and im looking for a top notch pair of headphones are the dre beats worth it or is there better out there ya no $300 is alot of cash just for headphones aswell

A lot of high-end headphones are quite a lot cheaper in the states (possibly Canada too). Should have better options than over here.

i have been after dre beats for about 2 years now but after going threw so many reviews i dunno what to do????

If you want style, buy the beats, but if you want headphones that are actually sound good there are tonnes of other options out there.
Check out http://pastebin.com/ZbPuSEJp and you'll see what headphones are recommended in your price range, then its just a matter of choosing that type of headphones will suit the music you want to listen to.

Thanks very much im more of a trance house etc thats what i mostly listen to but i do listen to all generes accept classic and heavy metal ya no.

They're an extra 100 to buy over here.

Have a read of http://www.head-fi.org/t/527451/ultrasone-pro-900-appreciation-thread and i'm sure you'll find the extra money for them, I bought a pair after reading that thread and they blow beats away when it comes to edm.

Hmmmm they look interesting but i am not gonna buy anything 1st until i test the beats out in an apple store or something then see what my mind says do you guys think im overpaying for them or are they realistically worth the $300??

They're as good as $100 headphones from the price ranges i've read.
From personal experience I'd be hard pushed to pay $100 for them after hearing headphones in the same price range.

If they sound good to you and you're happy spending that much then you may as well get them, but they are not "worth" the money you will pay.
