Hopefully someone can help with this one!!

I did a system restore on a laptop with xp and now it won't boot at all. I've tried booting in safe mode etc but it won't work.

Is there any way I can reverse the system restore or get it started?

    It's le nova t410 laptop.

    Thanks

How far does it go? Do you get the bios screen? Do you have a system cd to boot to do a repair?

    I don't have a boot cd.

I can get into the bios alrightm but don't know what to do there.

I can get to the black screen where it lets you choose safe mode, safe mode with command prompt, start use last known working setttings etc

None of those options work though

Then how did you do a system restore?

Can you choose "last known good"?

What happens when you try to go in to safe mode, do you get the xp logo at all or does it power off?

I did the system restore from inside windows to fix some problems. Now I can't get back in.

Last known good doesn't work. It just keeps looping and restarting, there's a blue screen that pops up somewhere too in the loop.

    Disaster.

Does it stay up long enough to see what the blue screen code is?

EG 0x0000008e (just get the last few digits of it).

There is a fix for the reboot loop. It's worked for me in the past.

go back to that page with the safe mode and click disable automatic restart to see what the blue screen is saying
