    Lidl are selling a lot of art products tomorrow.

    I thought I might get the wooden field easel since I don't have anything other than a home made table top easel. At €22.99 it looks like it's worth a go. Anyone else bought one of these before?

    Depending on the quality the painting knife set and the set of canvases are a great price also. Just wish they'd timed it for after childrens allowance day next week. :(

    The canvases are good, I got them last year, so stock up on them. I went up this morning (in Wexford) & got €150 worth which will keep me going at a quarter of the price of my local art shop for the next 6 months!!!

    The easels look good too, and again about half the price of the alternative in your local art shop!

    I've just come back from Lidl. The canvases do seem fine and are triple primed. I bought the upright easel and the table box easel but now having gotten then home and out of their packaging I'm not impressed and am bringing them back. The field easel would only suit someone sitting down to paint and over all it's not a great design and can't really handle small canvases at all. The table top box easel is more borderline but the lip at the front covers too much of the canvas and it the surface is chipped and looks like it will chip much worse in no time. I didn't buy the knife set as they didn't impress. Overall as John confirms the canvases seem about the only item worth the trip for. Since I'll be getting my money back I'll pick up some of them instead.
