Im heading to Greece for 2 weeks in a couple of days with my girlfriend. We are 21 and not really into partying. Could someone recommend a nice island that isnt too expensive as we are bringing 800 euro each (this is to include accommodation)

Ive heard many people say that they camp in tents over there.. not really into that idea though. So basically I am looking for an Island with fun things to do (surfing, nice beaches, nice places to go in the evening etc). Also what is the going rate for hostels or b&b's?

    Thanks :)

I'm a bit confused. You're going in a few days, but have nothing organised  Where are you flying to?

Pity Greece hasn't left the Euro yet. Your 800 euro could have been worth many thousands of Drachma and you could have lived like a king :P.

Have fun I'd recommend Crete personally.

Athens... I plan on getting the ferry to Syros first. Don't know where to go from there

Naxos is great for windsurfing & a has a lovely Mexican restaurant. We stayed off season so not sure what prices would be like in June. If u were up for it I would recommend u split ur time and do two/three of the islands, the price between islands can be as little as €15 on the ferry.

Second Naxos, was there last summer and lvoed it, short Ferry from Paxos if you want a change of scenery as well.

Another reccomendation is Santorini, again a ferry ride away and again a lovely place with the red beach/black beach, ferry out to volcano etc etc all good things to see

Did two weeks there siwth my gf last year and did Athens, Naxis, Ios and Santorini was great

Alot of people bypass Athens, i loved it everything is within about a km of each other and loads to see
