Where to go in Asia in July

I've to go to Bangalore, India for a week with work in July.
I'm planning on staying in Asia for another week and travel somewhere, but not sure where.
(Must be somewhere I can get a visa on arrival) *

Japan/Korea - supposed to be very hot & humid in July - best avoided
India - Monsoon season - not many things open in Goa
    Malaysia - Penang
    Thailand - Phuket

I've done Malaysia and Thailand (but not Penang/Phuket) before, but can't find anywhere else suitable.
    Anyone got any suggestions?

    TIA,
    HD

*Needs to be somewhere that I don't need to apply for a visa in advance as my passport is with the Indian embassy until a few days before I go.

Without knowing what you're into it's hard to say. I saw $95 return tickets from Delhi to Kathmandu a while back. Or you could head for Shimla, Leh that part of India. If it's only for another week you may as well stay local.

    Thanks.. will check it out..
I'm into beaches, diving, snorkeling, food, drink, nature
Not into - temples, hiking, churches, buildings, architecture
Kerala looks good, but just the monsoon season :(

Have a look at the andaman islands of the east coast of India

I wouldnt go near Phuket tbh OP. I had the misfortune of spending a week there 2 years ago while travelling round thailand and tbh its not worth it.

Beaches are nice but its very sleazy place and I can only compare it to the 'Benidorm of Thailand' but if you into that then go for it.

    Happy travels
