50hz LED or 100hz LED

My question is whether the HZ make a huge difference?

I will be gaming with xbox 360 and watching bluray movies and general T.V including the odd sports match.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Yes, it defo does. I have a 32" 50HZ Tv downstairs and watching football in HD is awful. I've a 40" 100hz TV upstairs and its perfect. Worth the extra few quid.
