Basically just post up some tag teams you thought worked well & should have been used a bit more, Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman, I belive they would have been a pretty cool tag team if they stayed in the WWF/E a bit longer, It's a shame Blackman's contract wasn't renewed, I don't know what happend to Ken Shamrock so maybe one of you could shed some light ?.

Kinda gone over ground since Jericho's DVD. But:

Eddie & Chris tag team in WCW. When both were at their athletic peaks and had awesome similar cowardly, sneaky heel characters. Playing off Eddie's original tag team Los Gringos Locos with Art Barr. Another team I would have liked to have seen more of too.

Rey Mysterio & Batista were a fun combo and complimented each other well.

Big mark for Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes in WCW when I was younger. Great veteran/rookie team.

Ill be a very sad bear if the Motor City Machine Guns never tag again too.

TNA have seemingly moved Joe and Magnus on (except in Japan) and they didn't even scratch the surface of what they could do as a tag team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,888 ✭✭✭Charisteas

Samoa Joe is well out of Magnus's league. The team worked well enough for their duration, what was it 4 or 5 months, and they had a good enough run with the tag-titles but it's time to move on and push Joe back to the main event and hopefully has a good run now in the Bound For Glory series.

Generation-Me should have been used better in TNA.

They look too much like boys to be taken seriously when paired up with anybody but The Guns. And they're too busy playing the victim on Twitter.

Joe has been on the decline for quite some time and Magnus is a brilliant tag wrestler. Coupled with how few teams they have nowadays, they should have kept them around. They never even got a rematch for the titles.

That's mainly due to bad TNA booking. Still think he has a lot to offer as singles though. Magnus can go back with Doug Williams, he hasn't been around for a while, where is he?

E&C ! They were "reeking of Awesomeness"

Speaking of Magnus, what about his combo with Nigel McGuinness/Desmond Wolfe. London Brawling. Class name, decent familiarity and very fresh. If Joe and Magnus didnt scratch the surface, then these two never even peaked their heads above water! For shame!

Beer Money & MCMG, I could have watched another 50 matches between the two teams.

He suffered a bad neck injury from Chris Jericho and left in 1999 to return to MMA.

    Kronik in WWE
    Killer Bee's

MNM definately, really liked them. Thought them and the Hardy Boys should've met at Mania 22. Although I can't disagree any more with Kronik, absolute hosses. Bumbling fools. A poor man's APA!

I loved the Allied Powers back in 1995, British Bulldog and Lex Luger. Thought they should've got the tag straps but they weren't around all that long.

London's Brawling(Desmond Wolfe and Magnus) - That could have been a great tag team if Wolfe hadn't gotten ill and had to retire.

Hart Dynasty - Really don't know why WWE split them up. They should have stayed together and continued tagging up. I mean it's not like breaking them up did anything for them career wise.

Cryme Tyme - Another tag team that WWE shouldn't have broken up. WWE just seems to have a habit of doing this, now. Breaking up a tag team even when they're better of being together.

Awesome Truth - Truth and Miz and little Jimmy were all interesting and bearable to watch :p

+ 1 also on London Brawling

I miss Deuce and Domino. I thought that was a fun gimmick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭ayatollah

yeah i'd agree on the miz and truth tag team

the awesome truth was a stupid name though

they could have gone down the outsiders route and had them just attacking anyone and everyone they pleased the bit at hiac before all the wrestlers and then HHH beat them up was class

This makes me really sad. Especially when I'm watching old wrestling and see tag teams that have been together for many, many years. For me, two singles wrestlers that tag, win & lose the belts and split up aren't a proper tag team. It's just an angle, like JeriShow and many before & after them. :(

Here's a shot of the 87 Survivor Series. Featuring a match with TEN DEDICATED TAG TEAMS.

In that respect, what would I like to see more of? Lengthier runs as tag teams.

Can't forget about Billy and Chuck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Actually Rosey and Jamal were pretty cool I thought. 3minute warning. Kinda a new age version of the headshrinkers. I thought they had a class look and a lethal gimmick.... 2 bad Goldberg jobbed them out!

Was it Billy and Chuck that reminded you of them? :) I remember they worked for Bischoff and crashed the wedding when Bischoff revelaed himself.

DX - Shawn Michaels and Triple H - Superb entertainers

Also liked those Too Sexy / Too Cool guys (Brian Christopher - Jerry The King's son was one of them).

A 6-month run and then split up isn't my normal attitude towards tag-team wrestling in general, just my attitude towards Joe and Magnus. They broke up on a high note and they didn't do the usual one guy turning heel on the other, they just went their separate ways when the time was right, and with the Bound for Glory series now, i'd say the time was right.

Sadly they were put together on a whim because TNA didn't know what else to do with Joe (or Hogan/Bischoff don't know how best to use him) when really Joe should be near the main event.

Anyway teams I want to see more of, well i'm eagerly awaiting the tag-team debut of Abyss and Joseph Park :D

I'm just hoping that next year they let Punk & Bryan form a tag team, fueds with MCMG or the Briscoes could be epic.
