Hi, briefly listening to shannon high level at 00.45 ish

SAM 829 was asked to contact London. I checked Flight radar 24, there was nothing showing. Is this a USAF callsign?

Any info would be appreciated.

Some military charters do show up on FR24, i know i seen "camber" and "boxer", which are both used for the USAF.

See "camber" regularly going into Shannon, but didn't see "boxer" in a few months.

Camber = Omni Air International

Is SAM like an Air force one or marine one callsign. i.e. does sam refer to a spceific person or is it just a generic callsign

Air Force 1 is only Air force 1 when the President is on board. Otherwise the aircraft uses a SAM callsign.

this is because they do not rip out orturn off the equipment that FlightRadar24 uses(ADS-B Transponder) just because they are operating a military charter.

FightRadar24 even states in the About section that included in the aircraft NOT visible are: Most military aircraft

SAM is a callsign of the USAF 89th Airlift Wing based at Andrews AFB. If you google the callsign with appropriate search terms you will find out more.
