Lost 3DS

My 3DS is missing in action, Last seen in my pocket the day before my daughter started pulling things out of my pockets, giggling, while out and about at the weekend. Maybe it'll turn up around the house but I'm preparing for the worst.

Anyone know what the situation is with my eShop account? Have I lost all rights to the games? Can I tie a new 3DS to my existing Nintendo account? Can I block my old 3DS (can't remember if I had any points left) from making purchases?

Incidentally, should you find yourself looking at a 2nd hand 3DS with a dodgy top screen (I *still* haven't sent it in...) that includes an awesome 3D painting of Dora the Explorer, or if someone tries to sell you a copy of Pokemon White where every 'mon has a name and with tonnes of cloned Japanese shiny Hydreigons on it, let me know

Incidentally, I happened to back up the contents of my SD card 2 or 3 weeks ago, I take it nothing from there barring pictures (eg my games, saves, street passes etc) are of any use to me now?

Your eShop purchases are tied to the console.
Next year that might change, when Nintendo bring MiiVerse accounts to the 3DS.

It's not really in saleable condition though, the top screen is buggered. It's probably in a bin somewhere, red battery light blinking, my pokemon slowly dying. Perhaps there's a chance 3 of my Formees will live on and escape if another 3DS walks by...

Your going to have to buy a new 3DS maybe wait for the XL version.
Any way that you left on streetpass or that and you could find it that way?

Id have bought that new XL one but they haven't put the extra analogue in there
I think i'll just wait till they release a new one or else just cut my losses. Annoying though, I really liked it:(
